I would like to share a new initiative that I am working on. With assistance from TEMA, an organization for our first responders, our everyday heroes, I am heading up an initiative to provide quilts for our Canadian first responders that are living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Being able to wrap up in a quilt made with love by someone you may never know , and to know that people care about you and what you have been through can be magnanimous. There is opportunity to become involved as a quilter, long arm owner, or for anyone who would like to submit names of heroes that you know would benefit from this. There is also a need for donations of quilt supplies, blocks, batting, thread, and funds for postage. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions, know of someone who would benefit from this, or are able to help out.
