We presented more quilts this week. We also lost three more police members this week. The emotion and gratitude that we experience as these heroes touch their name embroidered in the corner alongside the label, in addition to the tears that often fall upon the love and creativity that has gone into the fibres of the quilt brings us to wonder: If these warriors are so touched by what seems to be a very small gesture when compared to what they have encountered and experienced, how different would it be if only more of their peers, superiors, and organizations would acknowledge and support them through their struggle instead of closing the door?
